REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR THIS WORKSHOP
Lunch is provided both days along with a group dinner on the first night. We want you to get to know each other so we are keeping it intimate, and limiting the workshop to 12 women photographers. All levels of photographers welcome!
March 26 • DAY ONE • 10AM-until dinner is over
The not as much fun, but very important business stuff: the ins & outs of setting up a legal business, proper book keeping and how to keep up with taxes, creating an experience for your clients that they'll talk about for years, marketing, vendor relations and keeping an organized business so you don't feel overwhelmed and are able provide your clients with the level of service they deserve!
All things natural light photography: aperture, iso & shutter speed, and how they work together, achieving properly exposed images time after time, and finding good light in any situation!
Posing tips for creating natural moments between couples.
Day one ends with a seriously gorgeous styled shoot that you'll be talking about for months after the workshop. During the shoot, we'll cover everything from posing couples and creating natural moments between them to styling and photographing details!!! Best of all you get to photograph it too and use the images in your portfolio!
The day ends with a super fun attendee dinner!!! Darling is meant to help you build a business and create a community to grow with!
March 27 • DAY TWO • 9AM-5PM
What happens after the shoot? We'll spend the entire pre-lunch period covering this topic! You'll leave with a new fast workflow that keeps you on top of editing instead of behind, tips to to cull quickly, and how to edit quickly in Lightroom (and all the tips and tricks that can be shared!). Plus we'll cover creating an editing style that helps you maintain brand consistency!
Once we feel confident with editing, we'll cover the post-post production topics of image delivery, submitting to publications, sharing images with vendors and more!
After lunch, we'll cover creating a wedding day timeline with your couples that gives you the time you need to deliver your best imagery for them! Always a favorite part of the workshop!
The workshop will wrap up with a 2 hour intensive on all things reception lighting! We'll cover on and off camera lighting, followed by hands on practice so you leave feeling confident about lighting instead of terrified like all of us have experienced when walking into a reception! You're going to leave Darling knowing how to confidently handle any lighting situation you encounter!
